Head Lock

Friday, August 26, 2005

All right, I'll admit it.. I'm just like the rest of you.. I get headlocked..

Here I am, building a workshop on Thinking, and for a while I was struggling for content.. I knew what I wanted to put in, but wasn't sure where to find it...

Earlier in the year, I was reading Fast Company, and they were announcing the imminent release of Malcolm Gladwell's newest book
Blink. The caption read - you already know whether or not you're going to buy this book..

And I did.. i knew - it was a snap decision...

A couple of months later, The Power of Impossible Thinking was released, and in my opinion.. the cover image was horrible. Now, most of you know that I buy about 3 books a week. I buy EVERYTHING, and still I didn't even consider this book. Bad Cover (based on a snap decision) and no purchase. Yes, yes,.. i know don't judge a book..

So, here I am months later, and recently acquired
The Power of Impossible Thinking, and I am more that amazed. Yoram Wind and Colin Crook have written one of the greatest books on thought in years.

The premise of the book? That we all make snap decisions based on our metal models, and more often than not, you get bitten..

Get your copy, get unlocked. See, you knew you'd want it.
